Jacob Johnson is the founder of ETS and Chief Technology Officer.
With a vision towards success, Jacob grew ETS into a leading IT Solutions provider from the ground up. Jacob thrives on creating simple solutions for complex technical problems. He is passionate about technology. With his expansive background in network engineering and many years spent as an Information Security Specialist, he continues to work side-by-side with his employees.
Jacob was formerly a Senior Systems Analyst for the United States Department of Defense and an Information Security Analyst for the United States Air Force. He holds multiple industry certifications as well as technical degrees in Information Technology. Jacob is a seasoned technologist who has managed many multi-million-dollar projects for municipal, state, and federal entities throughout the nation and the Intermountain West. When he's not in front of a computer, Jacob can be found with his wife and daughters, or out on a river with a fly-rod in his hand.
Scott serves as the Chief Executive Officer at ETS.
While attending Utah State University, Scott had aspirations for a career in the medical field. It didn’t take long for him to turn his focus towards technology. He’s always had a passion for helping people and finding long-term solutions that benefit the lives of others. Since completing school, Scott has focused on cultivating the positive impact technology has on others’ lives.
Scott has been with ETS since 2009 and played a key role in the development of ETS from the early beginnings when there were just two employees. As ETS has expanded its offerings, Scott has made it his goal to solve the problems that technology creates for its clients.
Scott Linsley directs the operations of all ETS operating companies: IT Management, Communications, Electric, Devco, and Telecommunications. He is a member of the Executive Management Team and plays a key role in strategy, financial planning, and developing revenue growth models.
As Chief Operations Officer, Linsley is responsible for producing the targeted sales revenues of all ETS operating companies. Linsley manages marketing and customer relationships, in addition to overseeing new client and project acquisition. He develops processes, optimizes project profitability, and ensures the timeliness of deliveries. He directs the work of operation managers and all technical staff to deliver and support technology solutions to the companies’ broad range of clients.
Linsley has over 11 years of experience in providing technical solutions to individuals in the education, business, government, and non-profit sectors. At ETS, he guides the development of additional product offerings for customers, including phone, Internet, and telecommunications systems. Prior to his work at ETS, he was a Certified Sales Specialist and Western Regional Sales Manager for an Apple, Inc. certified reseller.
Linsley earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Sales from Weber State University. He served two years in volunteer church service in Micronesia, Guam. He enjoys spending time with his wife, daughters, and other family and friends. He also enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, and playing the occasional round of golf.
Chad Larsen is the Chief Operations Officer of Utah at ETS.
As Chief Operations Officer, Larsen hires and manages the estimators, project managers, installation crews, technicians, and electricians for both companies. He is responsible for the financial planning, revenues, and profits of both companies. Additionally, Larsen coordinates with the managers and supervisors of the IT Management and Telecommunications teams, providing end-to-end solutions for the companies’ broad range of clients.
Larsen has 12 years of experience designing, installing, and supporting structured cabling solutions, communications towers, point-to-point wireless networks, surveillance camera systems, security access control systems, audio-visual installations, telephone systems, and paging systems. Larsen is a licensed General Contractor in Utah and a licensed Public Works Contractor in Idaho.
After hours, Larsen enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons. Larsen is an avid hunter and sportsman, looking forward to tagging that prized buck in the Fall hunting season. Larsen spends time cultivating a mini hobby farm packed with goats, chickens, pigs, cows, and one dog.
As the supervisor of the IT Management team, Barrett White manages the computer and network technicians to ensure the delivery of technical services to clients. Barrett provides exceptional technical solutions to clients in the education, business, government, and non-profit sectors.
White works closely with the executive management team to train his team in the companies’ vision, goals, policies, and processes. He collaborates with Project Managers and Operations to provide technical expertise for new projects and existing solutions.
Following his education at the Davis Applied Technology College’s Information Technology program, White joined ETS and gained 11 years of hands-on experience in configuring and maintaining networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless and Internet connectivity. He has extensive experience working with servers, accounting and ERP systems, phone and security systems, SCADA, email, file sharing, remote access, and PCoIP. White’s personal computer operating system experience includes Windows, macOS, and Linux. With a breadth of experience in maintaining data center technology, Barrett focuses on optimizing connectivity, servers, backups, and storage. White holds the CompTIA certification and several Microsoft certifications.
White is a lifetime Utah native. After hours, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. Summertime will find him gardening or golfing. When the weather turns, White excels at darts, having participated in leagues and tournaments.
Jen Rippe is the Chief Financial Officer for the ETS Group of Companies.
As Chief Financial Officer, Jen leads the accounting team, in addition to managing the financial accounting and reporting of all ETS companies.
